Portland Roasting Coffee Slaps Some Innovation Into Coffee Farming.

Our managing partner, Mark Stell, came up with a simple solution to improve the quality of coffee coming from his farm in Tanzania. It takes the form of a slap-bracelet that coffee pickers wear on their wrist while they pick. The bracelet’s “red 22″ color was carefully chosen to match that of a perfectly ripe coffee cherry which provides an instant quality check that ensures the picking of only the ripest cherries.

Portland Roasting Coffee Generates Oscar Buzz!

We were selected as the backstage coffee for the 85th annual Academy Awards! Our coffee was served throughout the evening in the green room and was enjoyed by presenters, media, and the winners.
